Family Income Support Benefit

The program provides monthly financial support to families with lower incomes and fewer opportunities to earn. The entitlement depends on the family’s income level and the ability of its members to earn. The target benefit value is linked to the number of family members and the family's gross income. The benefit aims to improve the living conditions of these families

Benefit value:

The value of the subsidy is determined by calculating the difference between the target level (the square root of the number of family members × RO115) and the total family income.
The family includes the husband, wife, and non-working children up to the age of 26, and non-working daughters who have not reached the age of 40 if they are unmarried or divorced and do not have children. Foster children are considered as sons in determining the family. The family includes some categories that will be detailed in the executive regulations of the Social Protection Law.

Eligibility Conditions:

A member of the applicant’s family must be Omani. A non-Omani widow with no Omani children may apply if she resides in the Sultanate of Oman after the death of her Omani spouse.
The Total family income, including the income equivalent to earning capacity, should be less than the target level.
When filing the application, income and assets should be disclosed on the designated form.
To cooperate with the social worker if social research is required to determine benefit eligibility.

Required Data:

The civil numbers of all family members, in addition to confirming the authenticity of all family members’ personal information, phone numbers, family tree, and other information in the Royal Oman Police’s civil record.
The beneficiary must have a personal bank account.

How to apply:

Complete the e-form on the Social Protection Fund’s website to declare incomes, property, licences, and economic activities on the date to be announced by the Fund. Click here to apply
